Hey there, readers! Sorry I have been MIA lately, we just moved into a new (to us) house out in town (yes, a Japanese town)! Our internet took about a month to get installed and we were quite miserable without it. Now we are up and running and I am back to blogging.
We woke to snow, it was a surprising sight after 2 years of not seeing it (or feeling the cold temperatures that accompany it!) After lunch we went to the Badaling Great Wall. It was amazing! we hiked a ways up the wall and enjoyed epic views while freezing every body part off. Totally worth it.

| It was seriously cold... -10 celsius. |
| Chinese flag with the Great Wall behind it. |
| OMG, we are about to walk on the GREAT WALL! |
| We were literally walking through history...amazing! |
| Once in a lifetime! (You can see the snow!) |
| It is hard to relay the vastness of the wall. We could see for miles upon miles. |
| A day that we will never forget! |
After the great wall we drove by the Olympic stadium, birds nest, and water cube. Much changed around the city to prepare for the Olympics in 2008. After our adventures, Troy was nice enough to go to a real mall with me-- that's right Oki people... A real mall. We only shopped at H&M but it was nice to feel that American Mall feeling again. We attempted a walk to our hotel after the mall and it was a disaster! We walked for almost 2 hours in what felt like circles only to end up finally hailing a cab (which we found is impossible at rush hour or we would have done it from the get go). The cab driver cussed us in Chinese (I think the tone is obvious in any language) because we were literally 500 meters from the turn for our hotel. Ahhhh, adventures.
Thanks for tuning in, I hope you enjoyed the pics!
